It’s that time of the year where we like to look back on all we’ve achieved together over the past 12 months, and forward to what the year ahead might hold.
Thanks to all of our customers for continuing to support the Allways Hire business in 2024. Your continued loyalty has allowed us to build on the successes of previous years and strengthen our position as your locally-owned equipment hire company of choice in Hawke’s Bay.
Looking back to 2024
A continued focus on availability and reliability
You need to hire the right, reliable piece of equipment for the job you need to do. That’s always been at the core of what we do as a hire company, and so we’ve remained committed to offering a young fleet of equipment that’s fully serviced and hire ready.
2024 has seen us continue to focus on availability of our most popular equipment by adding depth to our fleet, particularly in our smaller diggers, loaders, and rollers. We continue to be committed to making sure you have access to the machines you need from both our Napier and Hastings branches.
You can review the equipment we’ve added to the fleet in 2024 in our March 2024 New To The Yard Article and our September 2024 New to the Yard Article.
Do we have a gap in our hire fleet that you want to tell us about? We’re always looking for feedback and welcome your suggestions. Contact us today to share your thoughts.
Strengthening both branches and adding new staff
The new branch in Napier was opened in 2023 and has gone from strength to strength since that date. We’ve been really pleased by how popular this convenient location has been with our customers, and it’s definitely made it easier to pick up equipment for Napier-based jobs or work in the north of Hawke’s Bay.
We’ve grown our team to ensure we’re still delivering our high standards of service to customers at both of our Hawke’s Bay locations. In 2024 we welcomed Barney to yard operations in Napier and Darius to yard operations in Hastings. It’s great to have them both onboard.
Challenging economic times for our industries and our region
2024 has been a great year but it’s not been without its challenges. Our industry and our region have seen a tightening of belts as the economic conditions have affected everyone from residents and local councils to our own businesses.
During this time we’ve built our focus on rewarding our customers for their business and their loyalty. We know that everyone is working hard and we’re trying to find more ways to make your job a little easier. From morning tea shouts to special weekend hire rates and meat pack giveaways – and of course a continuous supply of jet planes – we’ll keep thinking of ways to support you as we go into the year ahead.
A closer look at what you want to know about our equipment
Our team of experts are always available to help you find the right hire for the job. Most recently we’ve been sharing their knowledge in our series of Head to Head articles. These are aimed at giving you all the vital statistics on our range of diggers so you can see the best fit for your next job.
We’ve also started a series of customer feedback surveys where we’re calling customers at random to find out more about what’s important to you and how we can improve our service. If you get a call we appreciate you taking the time to share your views – it will help us provide better support for your business in the future.
A change for Master and exciting times ahead
2024 is the year that Master Equipment became Master Machinery, as we look ahead to how we can connect new customers with the full range of equipment that Master offers.
2024 was also the year of the Master Water Cart – that continues to be very popular with our Allways Hire customers for the well thought-out design. They’re especially popular during the hot and dusty Summer months so if you haven’t checked them out yet, why not call us and book in a demo?
Looking forward to 2025
Keep an eye out for What’s New To The Yard in 2025
Our half-yearly What’s New To The Yard article is when we let you know about new equipment and additions to our hire fleet. We’re already planning the new additions to our fleet in the first half of 2025, as we continue to renew our equipment and keep it young, and we add new models as we spot a gap in the market.
We know everyone loves to operate a new piece of equipment. Keep an eye out for our next What’s New To The Yard update in March and let us know if you’ve got a piece of equipment you would like us to offer.
Taking Master Machinery across New Zealand
2025 will see us offer Master Machinery for hire to customers across New Zealand, as part of the Allways Hire business. That will be a change to our business model but won’t make a difference to access and great availability of Master Machinery to hire from both our Napier and Hastings branches.
Does your business work across New Zealand? Many of our customers are based in more than one location in New Zealand and we’re excited about making it easier to access Master Machinery for hire wherever you work. If you’re interested in talking to the team about hiring Master Machinery outside Hawke’s Bay, contact Jonty Smith at jonty@allwayshire.co.nz.
Keeping our eye on the ball with more focus on customer service
We enjoy going above and beyond to connect our customers with the equipment they need. 2025 will see us continue to invest in delivering the best customer service to our hire customers in Hawke’s Bay.
In spite of market conditions we’re still committed to being the best at what we do. We’re your locally-owned equipment hire company that goes above and beyond to deliver the best service and hire ready equipment to you whenever you need it.
That means we’ll be growing our team, adding to research, and continuously improving our processes to ensure we deliver the best hire experience. We’ll look forward to keeping you posted in our monthly emails and on social media as we make changes across the year.
Will Hawke’s Bay see growth in 2025?
Current predictions are that new developments, roading repairs, and investment in our region will add up to a year of growth for Hawke’s Bay. We’re optimistic about what lies ahead in 2025 and we’re committed to supporting our customers with access to the right hire ready equipment, as they need it, for whatever job they’re working on.
